The PCT Across a Lifetime


     Summary: This article briefly talks about Carolyn and her experiences on the Pacific Crest Trail. As a child she only remembered walking a path surrounded by blue flowers. However, she, her mom, her relatives, and friends backpack for a week each summer. On one of their trips, they encountered a bad downpour of snow. Additionally, as she got older, she learned many different things on her own and loved to travel many trails. Carolyn and Cheryl relates to each other because they both experienced the life of the PCT and noticed how difficult it can be, especially as a female. However, Carolyn mainly spent her life around the PCT and many other trails, experiencing the life of a true hiker.


Three Things Learned from Article


v  She was able to free herself and her children from her abusive relationship.

v  Hiking gave Carolyn the power and courage to move on.

v  Hiking also offered Carolyn a path for her journey through life.
